Remy is unable to sleep that night, because he realizes how close he came to loosing Denver today and how much he cares for her. He gets up to use the bathroom and notices Denver's door is open. She invites him into her room. They talk for awhile and make jokes about Remy joining the X-men. He tells her that if he did, he'd take the name Gambit as his code name. He tells her she can be his sidekick if she wants. She points out that being able to heal isn't that useful an ability and figures all the X-men would be able to use her for is to throw her out to the villains who can beat her up for a very long time without killing her. She jokes that her code name can be Cannon Fodder.

One thing leads to another and they decide to become intimate.

Meanwhile, Professor X talks with Logan and Scott. They agree that they must do something about Remy. He is too powerful to go unchecked. Charles attempts to contact him at a very... uh bad moment. When he realizes what is going on, he immedietly breaks contact and tells Logan and Scott that this is not the time to contact Remy.

Remy senses for a moment that someone has tried to talk to him in his head, but with all that's going on, he soon forgets about it.
