Half past twelve, after hours of practicing and perfecting their lies the men of X-Force and the X-Men are ready to face their worse nightmares, their wives and girlfriends.
"Now remember, stick to the plan."
"Uh, sir can we review one more time." Sam said shyly
"We've already been over it fourteen times!" Roberto screamed and stalked out of the room.
"Okay once more Sam, the last time too, Cable from the top if you will." Scott said not willing to admit their lies were a bit criss crossed for him as well.
"We left, we went to the 'Cargo Club' were Gambit got drunk and in fear of his safety Scott and Hank took the liberty of renting him a hotel room. Afterwards only Scott returned." Cable stated
"I've got a question!" Bobby shouted
"Yes, Robert?"
"Did Remy and Hank sleep together?"
"No Robert." Hank said giving him a firm smack on the back of the head.
" Remy not good 'nough for you?" Gambit said jokingly.
"I never said that." Hank started to rub his forehead with his hand
"So you want to sleep wit' me?" Remy's face turned as white as snow.
"I never said that, you're a good looking man Gambit as you are well a wear....What Am I Saying?!" Shooting a few dirty looks Remy's way Hank tramped out of Scott's house.
" Next, Sam your part." Scott said peering through the hole that Hank had just passed himself through
"Me an' the Bobby's went ta the bathroom an' Bobby Drake or Bobby number1 started to make of the guys in front of us, causing them to rough house fer awhile. An' after me and the other Bobby, Bobby number 2 came through, Bobby #1 was bleedin' from his nose an' mouth. Ah took him to the Hospital, were he got all patched up and then we went to the park. Were we both passed out until a homeless guy used us for a toilet and we came to the boat house ta not wake anyone up." Sam took a deep breathe and settled back on his place by the couch.
"And I just stand their in the bathroom?!" Roberto screamed
"We were getting to you. Shatterstar if you'll take the lead?"
"Of what?"
"Tell your side of the story man." Julio shouted.
"I don't remember anything."
"The side of the story we made up!"
"Yes well, Roberto ran out after Cannonball blasted through the roof with Bobby #1, he joined us on the uh, dance floor, intrigued by the woman named 'Copper' he left the building soon after with her. Where as Julio disappeared into the crowd, I left the group and spent the night wondering around town in self pity."
"We never said that Julio disappeared." Scott's face was one of pure confusion.
"I know that is a real and only memory I have from the night before."
"We'll figure this out later, but Scott I believe it's your turn to tell the tell." Angel chimed
"Yes, all the leftover people, Maggot, Angel, Wolverine, Cable, me, and Warpath decided to call it a night, along the way Cable decided to drop in on his reporter friend. Logan went to get more beer, Warren went to uh, Warren were did you go?"
"to a strip club then to your room."
Scott rolled his eyes, and sighed heavily. The mutant heroes would never face anything like this ever again.
"I think we've all got it down pat."
"It's show time gentle men."
A few miles away, the ladies of the x are awaiting the development of their greatest accomplishment ever.
Later that day, after hours of going over their stories...
"Hey honey!" Jean chirped at Scott before taking a seat beside him.
"Ag! Oh hi honey...you know when I was home? Ten thirty that's when I we.. Got here. Didn't stay out heh, home at ten." Scott shut up and smiled nervously at Jean. Confused she got up and left him
"Smooth Scott real smooth." Bobby Drake commented
"Shut up Drake my head hurts!" James moaned out from the heap of him in the corner
"Don't tell him to shut up!" Sam snapped
"Sam your my best friend so please YOU SHUT UP!" Roberto screamed earning another round of painful moans
"You both shut up! Keep together on this!" Cable shouted back
"Everyone get ready Tab's comin'!" Gambit warned from his post at the door, before slamming himself into the counter
"Hey guys!" Meltdown opened the fridge to retrieve a drink, turning around to smiling faces she started to edge towards the door.
"Every one stop smiling" Cable sighed and sat by Scott
"What is with ya'll?" Rouge asked leaning against the doorway
"Rouge my chere!" Gambit sang in soprano
"Remy are you hangin' out at those all guy clubs again?" Rouge asked tipping her head slightly
"Atta what?!" Bobby nearly jumped out of his seat.
"Nothin'!" Gambit shouted
"Gettin' sick fer a whole week 'cause you spent time with the striper at that club is not nothin'!" Rouge snapped
"I gotta get my video camera" Bobby flew out of the room and to the stairs where Jean was talking to someone else
"It was hilarious! They had the expression of stupidity!" Jean giggled
"I can't believe I let you talk me into this..."
So we have a traitor in our little group... Bobby thought evilly before getting to his camera and returning to the kitchen
Outside the House ten minutes later
"Betsy! Come 'ere! "
"Yes Jean?" Betsy turned around
"Tell them it's started."
