Chapter Two

Gambit and Tigress boarded one of the mini jets in the hanger. Set the coordinates, and took off. They flew into the awaiting darkness, thoughts dwelling on things darker than the night.

The last 14 hours were a blur to her. She remembered the letter, the slight shock of what Remy had said, and how they had come to be in the jet. They had decided it'd be best to leave at midnight, and to leave a note in there absence. They had gone about the day as normal as normal gets in the Mansion. As to not cause suspision, exspecially with the worlds two most powerful telepaths. They had packed only the esentials, which added up to a small duffle bag each. Mostly containing supplies needed to break into the facility.

The Fatality Compound was located on the outskirts of Madagascar. The Compound was huge, and mostly underground. Ground level however, looked as if it was just an ordinary Army base, that is, if you could see it. For it was cloaked from view, and even telepathic scans. Hightec and informidable.

The Compound housed a certain type of mercenaries, so to speak.

They specialized in many areas, and did just about anything for money. Trained to kill in, hand to hand combat, firearms, and mutant powers. Almost everybody in the Organization were mutants. There m.o was, If in trouble there'd be no help, and never get caught. The rules were strict and orders followed to the letter.

Most recruits were children, ages from 9-15, so they could be taught at an erly age to obey. This young they were easily managed, and trained. The Organization made sure, you learned respect, and discipline at any cost. Some never survived the first month. You obeyed or you died. Very few ever escaped with there lives. But, for some, this was home.

" It should only take 9 hours to get there. Then 2 days to reach the perimiter fence. Remy? "

" sorry I just be t'inking "

" you and me both."

Half of him was saying " turn back dis not y'fight " the other, stronger half, wanted revenge! He had so many mixed emotions about this place, pain, hatred, fear and belonging. Being young, he once thought he had belonged there, with other mutants and with people who could share his pain. But it didn't last long, a day or two at best. Before the illusion was shattered. He survived it though, just like all the other things in his life. But not without scars, more psycological than physical.

Sonja couldn't help but remember all the friends she'd lost to the Organization. Tried to keep down the tears when one perticular person came to mind. Absently she looked down at the ring she still wore. silver with a simlpe design, but it held meaning. She had been but 15, when the ring was slid onto her finger.

Sonja suddenly shook her head, trying to escape the memories, not wanting to dwell on the subject any further. But then her thoughts wondered to Nabica. A friend who had helped her get away. And who had choosen to stay, than to leave. But then again, to Nabica, Fatality, was her savior. And then there was Babs. A women with spirit, and who's heart seemed unbreakable.

Babs, the smart, strong willed, romantic. She had stayed with Fatality, for two years. Gaining thier trust and learning thier secrets.

Then simply walked out with them. And not to mention, a fare bit of money. " I always looked up to you. You always seemed to be there..... like an older sister. Hell I missed you,...still do."

"Sonja"?

Sonja imediatly shook out of her reverie.

" We're comin' inta Farodofay, Madagascar. "
