Last year I was involved in a fan fiction writing group called X-writers who developed an alternative X-Universe which diverged from the main universe starting with X-Men #45 (which was the last issue). It was fun while it lasted, but I had creative differences with the editor and was fired from the project. The stories were originally edited by Lady Amethyst, but, with one unavoidable exception, her name will appear on nothing I send forth (the exception is a story that I really like that ended up being co-written and I no longer have a copy of the story).
