This is a story which I've been bouncing around in my brain for some time but never made a real effort to put into writing--until now. Since the "resolution" of the events of X-Man #25 (which SHOULD have been a major thing in itself) were...disappointing to me, to say the least, (O.K., so I thought it was a lame way to "solve" the problem!) I decided to give what I thought could have happened a whirl.

This story takes place several months after the events of X-Man #25, and any events that occur thereafter in Marvel Comics should be disregarded. This is MY story! If I liked the way Marvel had handled things, would I be writing it? :)
