It was late at night at the Restaurant at the end of the universe. At least, that's what Jubilee liked to call it. Well, a Jubilee. There were many tables in different shapes and colors, strewn through the tavern. In the pool table, Wolverine, Bishop and Gambit were trying to play pool, while putting up with Lockheed's fire breathing (and burping ) habits. In a small corner, Gambit and Phoenix (Jean Grey), were cuddling up, and it seemed like Lockheed's breath wasn't the only hot thing around.

"So, what do you think?"

"About what?"

"You know, Scott? the tavern."

"Interesting, Jean, interesting? Wouldn't you agree, Hank?"

A blue furred gorilla stepped into the lights, but no one paid much attention to him. They were all fairly busy poking at Mister Sinister's Lucky Charms tattoo.

"Yes, it would seem this tavern, as you put it, is one of the best examples of parallel realities. Sometimes I find it fairly strange to see what those people in a.c.ff can create. Different versions of the X-Men can appear at any given time? "

"Like Gambit and Jean there?"

"I believe, in this particular tale, they are more than friends."

"Same as Bobby and the White Queen in that far corner??"

"If you saw them closely, we would lose the PG-13 rating."

"Yes, well? it seems the chattering is taking an interesting place in that pool table."

And over there, Bishop and Remy were finally rid of Lockheed, although one could still hear a muttered curse: "%&% Ash?"

"So, pup, tell me something, am I or am I not your father?"

"I don't know Remy? I think even Marvel has decided something similar? Then again the future I come from is strange, what with the Phoenix entity surfacing again."

"Yes. That Lestat fellow is fairly weird, ain't he?"

"Not as much as Joseph over there"

In the direction Gambit was pointing, a young, white haired fellow stood. He seemed lost, until a long haired Cyclops came into view.
"What's the matter, Joe?"

"I'm not sure? am I supposed to be here or not?"

"You know we only came here until our writers turn out the next chapter in pour respective stories.." That's why, with John's new son, I've been stuck here a while. "

"But you have already lost your eye?"

"Just now? I think the blasted thing is still bleeding at times. I don't get proper medical care until the next chapter in Revelations"

"And I don't know if I'm supposed to be here at all? what with that Forbidden Love stuff being so irregular? hey isn't that?"

Most people in the tavern fell silent. A new Xavier had appeared, and it was never a good sign. It seemed fanfic writers were intent on being hard on him, whether he was a really mean Onslaught,. Or a cunning shady man who came up against Mulder and Scully. The only good time had been the time he had come in, chatting away with Pinky and the Brain?

"Bartender?"

"Yes, sir?"

"Has anyone come here to see me?" "Well, a version of you believing in angels came here recently, with that cute little Siku kid.

Other than that?

Nope"

"That's OK, then. What about Gambit?"

"You know, the nondescript, generic bartender said, " he pops up like zits on a teenager. Whether he's Ash, like the one who was with Bishop a moment ago, playing pool, or the one with Rogue's powers, or the AOA one chasing after Rogue."

"That's right, bub. "Said Logan, this time a younger one, along with Maverich and Sabretooth, all from the time they were a covert operations team. "And where's the souther belle?"

"Well, since Lori finished the Gestalt Arc, she's been playing around with that kid of hers? Sometimes she meets up with that dairy carrying Gambit."

"Well, poor kid. You know, maybe I should get on with her, get to know her better?"

"The way you've known virtually anybody in the mansion? Remember Mhairie?" Said Storm.

I don't get to hear Logan's answer. Although I am a watcher, and assigned to this place? it seems a fanfic with my name on it in progress.
