Another Soul
By Gambit's Angel

Rogue couldn't help but smile as her wedding ring, along with her hand, slid down the roundness of her stomach that will soon be her child. Not much longer now. Has it been nine months already? They flew past quite quickly. She turned her head to her husband, who was laying down on the bed next to her. He still had that auburn mess he called hair. She didn't mind. He was a bit, oh, fightened when he first heard. Then again, which future father wasn't? But soon, his mood changed from scared to anticipation. He couldn't wait! He even once asked Rogue if she could have the child three months early! She giggled at the memory. Three weeks after that, he got down on his knee and asked her to pledge her love to him forever. She accepted. The wedding was beautiful. Full of white flowers and lit candles. The entire room was draped in lace. It was a dream come true. It was almost unbealiveable, yet, there it was. She acualy took three minutes to look and take it all in. Remy let her.

When she reached Remy to give him her vows, he wispered, "All dis beauty doesn't stand a chance 'gaist you."

The vows were spoken, and answered with voices from the heart and soul. Durring their wedding night, Remy told her his secret. She didn't feel mad at him. She would've if she found out at the trial. But the trial never happened. After much urging, promises, and emotion, Remy left with her out of the cell. Having no choice, Eric the Red let the other X-Men go, having no choice since the accused was gone. Later, the X-Men killed him in an all out battle. Archangel, again, lost his wings. He was later married to Betsy and left. When he finally told her, she repeated the same words she told him in the cell.

"Ah love you! Unconditionaly! Otherwise, ah wouldn't have married you. I love you, Remy LeBeau,"

"And I you, Clarise,"

It wasn't her real name, but Remy didn't want ot call her Rogue anymore, as if she was a wild woman who used to sail ships and steal teasure. So he gave her a name, a beautiful name. One that spoke of beauti and old world promises. He never asked for her real name, nor did it matter. She was now Clarise LeBeau, and God help the person that comes between them. The feeling when they wore up was incredible. They felt a warmth inside them, lighting their souls, as it lit the one being made inside of Rogue's body. When they got back, life almost resumed as normal. He told Rogue that he loved her, sometimes ten times a day. Soon, Rogue's belly was so full with the child, she was cut from the team. Two months later, so was Remy. Scott and Jean gave them the boathouse, since they weren't having children as of yet.

Ever since Remy was cut from the team, there was much of his energy that was waisted. So, he put it to good use. The created a nursery. It was beautiful! Doezens of stuff animals lined the walls. The room was a soft blue. The crib, a light green. To celibrate nine months, Remy bought her nine dozen roses. NINE! So here they were still wait.....huh? She felt some thing, from the bottom of her stomach. It lasted a minute. It wasn't pain. No. Of course, physical pain was impossible. An hour later....yes! It happened again. This was it. there was no mistake. She was in labor. Rogue gently sook her husband.

"Chere. What.....?" Remy stopped and looked at her. Her hands were on her belly. He could only smile, because words couldn't express it. Not in a million years.
