Obviously, somebody’s transported us all somewhere for some sort of test, Kitty Pryde. The last time this happened, it was Belasco who did it,* but he’s dead.** So somebody else has transported us to this world. Of course, maybe the others are somewhere else.......
Kitty walked down the dark hallway she was in. "Andre? Amanda! Illyana?! Are any of you there?!" Kitty shouted. The last she remembered they were checking out horror movies at the local video store, and then they all disappeared, much to everyone’s suprise.
There was no answer, though, unless the house creaking was an answer.
A white, Halloween mask appeared behind Kitty, and a large, intimidating man stepped forward in blue coveralls. He was carrying a long, sharp machete. He stood behind Kitty and she didn’t notice a thing. She continued walking down the hallway, oblivious, looking in all the rooms for any sign of life. As she approached the end of the hallway, a mirror hung on the wall.
Kitty gasped at the sight she saw behind her in the mirror, and she swirled around at the figure. "Who?!" she uttered.
The figure stabbed at her, slicing her across her stomach. His knife cut nothing but air, however, as Kitty had already instinctively phased. Kitty’s eyebrow arched. "Micheal Myers?!" she shouted. The figure’s head turned sideways at the mention of his name. "But you’re from a movie! A movie that I was renting..." Kitty pieced together the pieces of the puzzle. Someone had teleported them *into* the horror movies they were about to rent!
While Kitty stood in the hallway, phased in her intangible state, she thought about the situation. For of us disappeared, we were holding four movies, Kitty counted. We must have all been teleported into one of them each, then! Which means all we have to do to get out of here is to survive the horror movie! But what happens after that?
Kitty dropped through the floor and phased solid, taking quick, deep breaths, and thought of ways to kill Micheal Myers. From what she remember from the movies, nothing short of an inferno could stop the man. "If it’s an inferno I need, then, it’s an inferno I shall have!" Kitty decided.
Kitty phased into the basement, guessing (and hoping) that there would be some form of gasoline there. She quickly searched the basement, perfectly aware of Micheal Myer’s track record of finding people in seconds. Pretty soon, he would be on her, and she would have to find another solution to her unusual problem. Of course, when did she not have unusual problems? She would get through this horror movie as easily as she got through her life, which was scarier than any movie at times.
Kitty managed to find some form of explosive (Kerosene, she guessed) while Michael walked his way down the stairs, ready to get her. "You won’t find me as easy a victim as your teenage ones," Kitty growled. She bashed the can over Micheal’s head, as she backed up in the basement. She decided to try a new trick. She backed up to the other side of the basement, held tight onto the can, and ran as far as she could. Finally, she jumped as high as she could, phasing herself a little so she floated through the air, and she slowly slid through the ceiling and onto the next floor. She threw the kerosene everywhere, and ran to the kitchen to find a match.
Micheal managed his way up the basement stairs, and Kitty scowled, unable to find a match. She looked around for the next best thing.
Kitty ran into another room, possibly a dining room, trailing kerosene after her. She grabbed a lamp from the room, turning it’s bright light on. She smashed the lamp over the open kerosene can and phased. The kerosene can blew up immediately in a small mushroom cloud of fire, lighting everything in the room on fire. The trial Kitty had lit through the kitchen blazed onward, hit something flammable, and exploded many times along the way. Before Kitty could even phase her way out of the quickly burning and collapsing house, the entire house was lit ablaze.
Kitty sat on the front lawn. "Well, there’s a day’s work finished," she sighed. "Now, I can relax, ponder the intricacies of where the hell I am, and search my friends. All in a day’s work, I suppose-"
She was interrupted from finishing her sentence. Kitty was teleported from the lawn of the blazing house to a dungeon.
Next to her was an unconscious Illyana. By the time Kitty noticed Illyana was chained, gagged, and cuffed, she realized she was, too. She tried to speak, but found the gag worked all too well. She tried to phase, but somehow her power’s were blocked. She struggled, but could barely move a centimeter. She sighed a sigh of momentary defeat. She didn’t know where she was, but she knew she didn’t like being kidnapped.
Five strangers she didn’t even vaguely recognize gathered before her. "Hello," a man greeted. "We’ll be your game hosts this evening. Welcome to the show." The man approached her with a glinting needle, which he injected in her arm. Kitty’s eyes slowly shut, and she squirmed one last time.
