Author's Notes:
'Brave New World' is based on the Cable -1 issue, where a newly arrived Nathan pops into our era in the vicinity of Muir Island, where Moira MacTaggert rescues him from Rev. Craig and a mob. The issue ends with her promising to take him to see Charles Xavier, and that's where this story picks up. But since I don't subscribe to the ridiculous retcon that Cable is a man in his 'late 30's', this story is set earlier than the mainstream (if as yet undisclosed) version of these events, twenty years before Marvel current-day. As a result, Rahne is not yet Moira's ward in my version. Amelia Voght and a very young Jean Grey and Scott Summers also appear in this story. A bit of a stretch on my part, maybe, but I wouldn't be writing about Cable if I didn't like playing with the timeline. :) Feedback, as always, is adored.
