Kristi was sitting down with Remy watching a horror flick on the t.v. It had been five years since Dustin, Crystal and Kristi saw Kielle. Kristi and Remy were waiting for Dustin and Crystal to arrive. Since they had come back to their reality, their lives had taken off.
Dustin started off with a couple of acting classes and discovered that he had talent. Not only did he discover it, but some producers from Hollywood did as well. In no time flat, he was making over 25 million each movie. With a couple of good investments, his holdings had skyrocketed. He retired from the movie business within three years, doing the occasional movie here and there. In the fourth year he started to trinket with his computer that could think for itself. He spent this last year watching his profits sore after gaining copyright to his invention. He soon became the sexiest man alive with his good looks and not to mention the richest. Yet, through the years, he still found the time to visit Kristi and Gambit, not to mention, donate a couple billion dollar donations.
Crystal started modeling in New York and after being "found" by some big shot designed named Gucci, became world renowned. Not to mention, that she did her fair bit of acting. In fact, she had even done a movie with Dustin! While vacationing in a resort in the Bahamas, she met a guy named Darien who just happened to be an old pen pal. They fell in love and quickly got married. She had no idea at the time that he was a wealthy prince, next in line to inherit the throne of his country, which sat on a bed of oil so large that it would probably never run out. Within the five years this took place, they too, had contributed a lot of money to Kristi and Remy's special project.
All three talked frequently, telepathically of course. Not to mention, that they visited each other often as well, by teleportation.
Kristi and Remy had gotten married within the first month back. To her shock, Remy told her that he had created the marauders, but her love was enough to forgive him. This made Remy even more thankful to have her. They started Xaviers Institute for the Paranormal, of course with his blessing. Together, they searched the world for the "right" people to accept into their prestigious school. After five years, they had 13 major alpha class mutants. They started a world wide campaign, advertising for people with unusual abilities to come and get tested and if you were chosen, you would get a million dollars! Doing this, they traveled the world. Kristi scanned more people than she could ever count and found her fist seven students. She perplexed her students with her knowledge about all their different powers. Yet the truth was that, she could do all of it if she wished, because there was no restriction on what she could do with her power. Remy tagged along and helped her wherever he could. Therefore, he took her on vacations often into secluded places, like the Alps, where they could be alone! *grin* Their center had grown, there were at least three students that made Kristi gasp. Mutancy here had taken a different turn. People were harnessing the power of their minds. Two of her students had the ability to "see" into the future, one could find anything, four could talk telepathically and six were telekinetics. It was incredible what the power of suggestion could do! They became international ambassadors for world peace after they, with three of their students, stopped the war in the middle east. Together, they held everyone in place- machines, people, animals- and talked it out in a calm and reasonable manner. Of course it helped having Remy there threatening to charge anyone's head if they objected! It was during this episode that the world found out about Remy's powers after a demonstration on a wall.
Anyhow, their influence stretched far with every government, being neutral, was privy to all sorts of information. Also, they were always invited to all the good parties where they were served free food! Yet, unknown to the whole world except Remy, Crystal and Dustin... Kristi was all wild power. No one knew that she was "gifted" as the youngsters she was gathering. Heck, not even her students knew. On the other hand of the scale, Dustin and Crystal used her powers and Kristi became so used to it that she didn't even notice anymore. Although, once she did have to cut off powers to Dustin for a short while, because he was playing around with the NSA (National Security Agency). Kristi talked often with Kielle to see what she was up to.
Kielle grew up those five years and stopped her growth at a beautiful 5'9, long blond hair and just the right age to be always Angel's perfect wife. It came as a shock to her, when she found out that she was pregnant and even more shocked when her little boy turned out to be half human, half vampire. Unknown to Giles, Kielle drew power off Kristi which allowed the cute family to go out into the day light and that they had a son named Colin. Together, they joined Buffy searching out vampires, but they didn't kill them. Kielle with her power, put the curse of conscience on them, as Angel had. With fifty vampires in all, they challenged the elders and won. Every vampire was now required to be under the curse and this way, they could tell if another vampire had been made. All together, they joined Xavier's cause. A base was set up in Sunnydale right over the Hell Mouth and it became the base of operations for every vampire in the world. Kielle talked to Kristi frequently and still had some funny doubts about Giles. She knew that he was the Ripper, but that was it. It wasn't polite to prod, but it was beginning to bug her!
"Hey Kristi, over here!" shouted Crystal as she waved and ran towards Kristi giving her a big hug.
"Where's Dustin? It's just like him to be late. You know how actors like to make a dramatic appearance." smiled Kristi. With a streak of blue lightning, Dustin appeared.
"I'm here, I'm here. I wouldn't miss this for the world!" grinned Dustin. Crystal and Kristi gave a soft chuckle.
"Dustin, you almost own the world. You, with all that money, should really settle down." grinned Crystal.
Dustin gave a face of mock terror, "And give up my rights as a free man, to do whatever I please, I don't think so!!!" Gambit walked out of a normal sized house that attached itself to the school.
"Long time no see Remy!" shouted Crystal as he approached her.
"Have you told your husban' yet, chere. 'bout you being a mutant 'an all?" asked Remy as he put his arm around Kristi. She immediately snuggled in closer.
Crystal looked guilty instantly and didn't answer, but it was answer enough for him. She hadn't.
Dustin looked at her with exasperation, "You mean you haven't told him yet!"
"I haven't gotten the perfect opportunity yet!" protested Crystal in an attempt to defend herself, yet Kristi could tell that she was also hiding something, something a little more different.
"Crystal, we can't let this go on. Tell him now, or else you can't go along." said Kristi with the final clarity that she had perfected over these past few years. Crystal gave her the glare, 'I'll get you back for this.' and teleported Darien to where they were standing. Darien was in for a shock, but he took it better than she expected.
"Why didn't you tell me before?" he asked patiently.
"The same reason you didn't tell me that you were a prince. I was scared that things would change between us and never be the same again." said Crystal feeling soooooo much better for finally getting it off her chest.
"I will always love you for who you are. I want to be part of your life. I don't care if you have special powers, you have and always will be special to me, my night flower." said Darien giving her a passionate kiss, of which she readily returned.
Kristi took this perfect opportunity, "Would you like to come with us?" Dustin stared in shock. What the hell was she doing?
"Where are you going?" he asked curiously, putting his arm around Crystal's waist, just low enough to get a hand on her firm ass,
"Let's make it a surprise!" said Kristi delighted, she knew that he loved Crystal, so it was safe to let him into their little elite club. "Welcome to our elite club."
"After five years we still haven't named it." remarked Dustin giving himself a little smile.
"Any suggestions?" asked Kristi. Yet, she knew that by the look on his face, he had the perfect name.
"Highlanders." said Dustin. Crystal gave him the confusion look.
"You know, for all we know, we could live forever!" for some very odd reason, Dustin thought this remarkably funny and let out a gale of uncontrolled laughter. Unfortunately, his laughter was contagious and within minutes everyone was laughing for no reason at all. Probably just nerves.
"Are you people ready to go?" asked Kristi cracking her knuckles getting ready.
"Aren't you coming with us?" asked Darien as he stared at Kristi already starting to glow. It was then that he realized the enormity of her secret that she had been keeping from the world.
"No, but Remy will going with you." smiled Kristi. Her glow started to pulsate.
"Remy," whispered Kristi softly into his ear. "You have access to my powers love, use them whenever you want. Call me soon. I love you and return home quickly." Remy gave her a burning kiss as the four faded away. Yet, she could still feel the kiss on her lips.
