Part Four

Kristi sighed and walked into the house. Inside, Tamera was waiting for her. Tamera was fourteen years old, came from Moscow and was telepathic, could "see" into the future and a TK. In other words, she was very talented, also, she didn't have any parents, but could only remember certain scenes that replayed themselves over and over in her head at night.

"Hello Tamera, what can I do for you?" asked Kristi sitting down in a recliner to take the pressure off her feet.

"Mrs. Lebeau, we have trouble." said Tamera gravely.

"What kind of trouble?" asked Kristi amused. It was just probably just another spat between the telekinetics and the precogs.

"We have reporters coming here after your friends Dustin and Crystal disappeared." said Tamera. Kristi sighed and knew that one day she would have to say something.

"Tamera, can you swear not to tell ANYONE what I am about to tell you." asked Kristi sharply. Tamera shook her head quickly.

"Dustin, Crystal, Remy and I have special powers. You already know about Remy's powers, but mine are different. Dustin and Crystal use my powers. They have gone off to another reality to warn a lot of people. We have to stall them as long as we can, time travels different over there, so I do hope they, hurry up."

Kristi sighed and looked at Tamera. She was happy that she understood. Tamera was her second oldest student and was known to keep her word.

"I'll help you." she said softly as she left. Kristi hearing that last remark, knew that she had told the right person.

Remy walked into the X-manor unnoticed, or so he thought. Scott was following him with video cameras that were situated in the halls. As he sat around cerebro watching the main viewer, he wondered how Gambit had gotten back and what he wanted. Remy started to talk to himself and so Scott turned on the volume.

"Scott, where the hell are you?" muttered Remy as he started down the hall. Scott turned the chair and stood up, it was time to face Remy.

Remy walked into the last place he wanted to look... the danger room. He had some good times in here as he beat Scott time after time at capture the flag. Scott went to the observation room and turned on the power to the room. Remy jumped as the lights turned on, he looked around wildly trying to find who had done it.

"Okay Eric, you were looking for me, so here I am. What do you want?" asked Scott in a cold voice. He had nothing to say to Eric.

"It's Remy, I no longer go by Eric. Eric is long dead and will never return. Scott are you so afraid of me, that you can't come down here and talk to me face to face?" asked Remy being totally honest and trying to get him down without taunting him. It was more of a dare for Scott. He picked himself out of his chair and proceeded down to the door. An X-men never backed down from a dare.

"What ever gave you the impression that I was scared of you?" asked Scott taking a pose that looked like he didn't give a damn, but it was a pose that he could pounce from in a moment's notice.

"Oh never mind about that! We have a major problem, mon ami!" said Remy with something Scott had never seen in his eyes-- fear.

"Don't we all." said Scott trying to make light of it.

"Have you ever heard of the Aluminati?" asked Remy as he looked into Scott's eyes, past the glasses he wore. Now it was his turn to see the fear that welled in the hearts of man. "Come with me." Scott led Remy out of the X-manor and into the Morlock tunnels that led all around under the X-manor. After a good fifteen minute walk, Scott finally stopped.

"Scott, I know that you have heard of them. Yet, I need to know, what do you know about them?" asked Remy.

Scott took a deep breath. It was almost suicide to talk about it, let alone, let anyone know that you know about them. "They run practically the whole world. People that know about them and are not in the club are usually dead within days. Also, the last elected leader was assassinated and the Aluminati had to elect someone else. That's about it."

"Yeah, well here's something new for you. Sinister is now the head of the Aluminati." said Remy quickly and as a matter of factly.

Scott's face blanched, "Really?"

"Yes, really and he's going to branch off into other realities! In other words, like I said before, we have trouble mon ami." said Remy getting a little hysterical. It took some time before Remy's words finally sunk into Scott's sub-conscious. Scott's eyes now had the look of Remy's-- pure-unadulterated terror.
