Rogue's hands were tied behind her back, and she was blindfolded. They led her through the wet grass, in her socks and her pajamas. " Jean where in the heck are we going?!" , she pleaded for an idea.
" Yeah, like I'm going to tell you, Rebecca....don't worry. We're almost there.", she smiled, pushing her futher.
" Yeah, well...so you know, this isn't my idea of fun.", she smiled, sticking her tongue out.
They finally arrived at their destination, which unbeknowest to Rogue, was the boathouse.Jean opened the door and guided her in, when she was untied and she pulled the blindfold from her face she found Betsy, Ororo, Trish Tilby,Cecilia,Kitty Pryde and to add to her surprise, her mother, Raven Darkholme all sitting around the room in their pajamas and waiting for her.
" Oh mah...what is this?", she smiled at them.
"It's called a 'bachelorette' party, X-Men style.", Jean said, hugging her.
Kitty hopped up to hug Rogue, " I'm so happy for you!" , she smiled. It was a great change from when she joined the X-Men, but Rogue wasn't going to question it. " Thank you, Kitty. It's good ta see ya, shugah!" Raven hugged her daughter, and whispered in her ear."If that Cajun does anything to hurt you, Rogue...I'll castrate him so fast, he won't know what hit him.", she pulled away and smiled at her." Ya won't haveta worry 'bout it, momma...he's not goin' ta."
After all the greetings, they all sat down on the floor and just talked for a while, about the guys, and about life in general. It was downtime, with a bit of celebration mixed in....until Betsy got an idea....
" Truth or dare, shugah? No way...Ah don' wanna...", Rogue looked at the group.
" Too bad, Rogue. You are. I say so.", Raven smiled. "I'm your mother. You *have* to obey."
Rogue reluctantly joined the game, which turned out to be okay, until it was Betsy's turn, then it got weird.
" Jean, I dare you to put on Scott's uniform and impersonate him for the rest of the night.", Betsy smiled slyly.
"Only if you dress in Warren's.", she smiled back.
"Done."
So they both took off to change into their significant other's clothes. When they returned, no one could stop laughing, Jean had even borrowed a pair of Scott's glasses and was wearing them. They seemed to match her hair perfectly too.
" Okay...it's my turn." Kitty grinned evily. "Trish. Since we all know you can't wear Hank's costume....I dare you run around the house with no shirt on."
Trish complied, rather easily too. When she came back in, she looked like she had seen a ghost though. " You didn't tell me about a groundskeeper!!!!" The group cracked up laughing because while she was getting ready they had dared Raven to go outside, shifted into the 'groundskeeper'.
When it finally got to Rogue, the pranks were alive and daring, "Rogue, I dare you to go through a danger room session in a t-shirt. Nothing else.", Betsy smiled at her.
"Nothing? Not even..."
"Nothing."
Reluctantly they traveled up to the mansion and started an easy little danger room program for Rogue where she flew around and dodged objects. What she didn't have, was a shirt that was really long. So while she did this, she unwillingly flashed the group.
When the girls returned to the boathouse they adjourned to the TV and ate popcorn. And throughout the night, they just enjoyed theirselves like a bunch of teenage girls.
The guys sped down the access road down to the mansion. No one ever used the road so they didn't care....or so they knew. When they hit the other car head on, none of them expected it. The jeep flipped over the side of the road into a ditch...while the other car was barely damaged. The driver stumbled out of his car, dropping his beer bottle to the ground..."Oh my God..." he muttered and ran back to his car and sped away.
